Spring Newsletter 2010
Happy Spring to All! I am impatiently awaiting Memorial Day, which is "planting day" in New England. Ready for a new batch of herbs, veggies and perennials in my ever-changing garden. Hopefully this year the bunnies will leave my pea plants alone (I'm not holding my breath!).
Even though Christmas is long over, a few additional reviews for Sweet Inspiration are trickling in. Brande at Book Junkie gave SI a 4 star rating. She says Sweet Inspiration is "...A whimsical story with an entertaining plot and addictive characters..." Thanks, Brande! It's always nice to meet someone who loves reading Christmas stories all year long.
I am also excited that Penelope's Romance Reviews made the 2010 Top 50 Romance Novel Blogs on the Love Romance Passion web site. Cool!
The NECRWA conference was a wonderful affair. In addition to inspiring speakers, informative workshops and delicious cocktails with The Quirky Ladies, the high light of the weekend was watching Tara Truesdale win the prestigious Goldrick Award. The Quirky plot for world-wide domination is well under way. ;)
My reading high point this spring was discovering new author Carolyn Crane's debut UF/paranormal novel, Mind Games. I was completely blown out of the water by this fabulous story. Please check out my review and interview with Carolyn at Penelope's Romance Reviews. Any writer who creates a heroine with hypochondria who uses her neuroses to battle bad guys gets an A+ from Penelope!
Finally, yes, I am almost done with Sweet Magik! I'm hoping to finish it within the next month, and then get back to work on my historical Diabolical for the second half of the year. I will post an excerpt soon.
Happy Spring!
